For example, doing things like growing food or flowers, exercising outdoors, or being around animals can have lots of positive effects. Contact with nature is associated with an increase in happiness, subjective well-being, positive affect and social interactions, and a sense of meaning and purpose in life, as well as a decrease in mental distress.*

When we create freely, we connect with our inner child and play. Play is one of the most primitive forms of therapy. Expressively creating can be done in a number of ways, such as painting, drawing, creating collages, creating with clay, dancing freely, singing, writing, cooking, and many other things.
