Your Voice Matters: Join Our Suicide Prevention Study for the Hispanic Community
At Hispanic Family Counseling Inc. (HFC), we believe in the power of education, empathy, and culturally responsive care. That's why we’re conducting a new study focused on the impact of the Talk Saves Lives™ program, specifically designed for Spanish-speaking individuals who identify as Hispanic or Latino and live in Central Florida.
This research aims to explore how well the translated version of the program compares to a culturally adapted version. Our goal is to improve the way mental health and suicide prevention information is delivered in our communities—so it feels relevant, respectful, and effective.
What does participation involve?
Your participation is confidential, safe, and does not require sharing personal experiences about suicide. You’ll attend a 2-hour training (either online or in person), learn about the Talk Saves Lives™ program, and complete an anonymous survey afterward.
Who can participate?
Adults 18 years or older
Spanish-speaking
Living in Central Florida
Identifying as Hispanic or Latino
Enrolled in HFC’s Talk Saves Lives™ training

Because talking about mental health saves lives. And when those conversations happen in our language—with cultural sensitivity and trust—they reach deeper. By participating, you’re not only learning—you’re helping shape a future where mental health resources truly reflect and support our Hispanic community.
