We’re inviting Hispanic/Latinx families to participate in a research study by the University of Central Florida. The goal is to explore how to support physical activity through dog walking and develop a culturally tailored mHealth (mobile health) program.
You may qualify if:
•You are a Hispanic/Latinx parent or caregiver
• You have a child between the ages of 6 and 17
• Your child engages in little or minimal daily physical activity
•Your family owns a dog that can be walked
•You have a smartphone or tablet
What’s Involved? / ¿Qué incluye?:
•A short 5–10 minute online survey
• A 45–60 minute interview (virtual or in person at UCF)
•$50 Visa gift card as a thank-you!
Not eligible if your child:
Already walks the dog more than 3 times/week for 20+ minutes each time
Gets 60+ minutes of physical activity per day
Has a mobility issue that prevents walking one block
