A New Season

Fall has arrived and with it, the start of a new season!

Each stage of life has its adventures and now I have begun the adventure of every Sunday to take a walk along a new and unknown route in the mountains of my new location. This project arises in our self-care process as one that allows us to move, challenge ourselves and experience the blessing that nature offers in the revitalization of the body's energies. A very healing process. But, at the same time, it is the first time that we experience seeing the abrupt changes of the seasons of the year in the environment and this allows me to reflect on the impact of the seasons on the internal processes of each human being.

At this moment as we begin fall, I can appreciate the harshness of the climate without any compassion on all the vegetation. How from a period of time where everything was green and colorful, suddenly everything turns yellow, orange, red, cold and you can see the crops dry. What is positive about this season which links to the previous season because every process in this life begins before the next step arrives. Firstly, it is the beginning of the harvest, where everything has already grown and you must collect what you sowed in your last season. If what you planted was at the correct time, if you took care of it and fertilized it well, you will have a harvest that will last until the end of winter; or, you will generate the economy that your family will need to supply itself during the next season, which will be arid and cold. There is a lot to think about this season. Since it has to do with collecting based on the actions you generated in the previous season.

And this is where reflection becomes valid for the soul of a human being. Each season of your life is marked with an important decision that you will see reflected in your future season. So our decisions today will give life to the results we will have tomorrow and will affect or bless those who are by our side every day.

The seasons must be lived in the recognition that not everything that happens will be perfect, everything has its ups and downs, but they totally depend on the ability we have to make decisions in good times and bad, always with the awareness of How will I affect or bless those who depend on me and myself? Every season is to be enjoyed, with its benefits and even its limitations. Because, it is an important time to reflect on what I should improve. And this skill is one that we must always put into practice.

May your new season be one of blessing where you can be grateful for what you have obtained, what you have achieved, and what is to come! And, if there is something to learn, appreciate the blessing you have to recognize it and transform it for the better in your next opportunity.
