For our Founder & CEO, Denisse Centeno-Lamas, being one of the volunteers of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is one of the things she is most passionate about. ARTFAM Research Project

Our Executive Director, Denisse Centeno Lamas, was part of a research project with Michigan State University called “ARTFAM”. Project main focus was to evaluate the resilience of a small Puerto Rican community that is why they visited Perla de Gran Precio in Puerto Rico from March 27 to April 6, 2023.


Diversity in Programs: Expansion & the Future of Prevention Education Offerings

Our Executive Director, Denisse Centeno Lamas, who is a member of the National Leadership Council for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, being one of the speakers at the event is one of the things that fills and enjoys her the most. The topic was “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” and she spoke about Saving Lives, the new program for the Latinx community.


BIPOC Mental Health Conversation

Our Executive Director, Denisse Centeno Lamas, was part of the panel discussion named “Celebrating Our Story of Cultural Resistance” for the National Benevolent Association of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) along with other professional where they shared experiences and connected with one another.
