Creating Balance

Life changes, roles are transformed, the family evolves... and brings about imbalance. It is that moment of your life where you find yourself teetering on a rope, decision making is dizzy between doubt and certainty, the internal feeling is not clear. And we all live stages of this category at some point.

The big question we need to ask ourselves is how much do I accept the life process that is making me feel out of balance? And this will always be our great challenge. Accept change, growth, emotional processes, the good and even the not so good. Here is the great strategy to create balance.

Some strategies to develop this skill are:

  1. Accept what happens: the acceptance process will cause us to be aware of what we can or cannot do in this type of circumstance.

  2. Establish priorities: develop a list of priorities and give solutions from the most important to the least important.

  3. Search for assertive solutions: search for healthy solutions and know how to negotiate with those who are involved without the need to react negatively or impulsively, always reflecting at all times.

  4. Learn to manage Self-Control: always bearing in mind that we only have control of ourselves and not of the reactions or behaviors of others. So we evaluate our emotions and respond to what we can control.

  5. Learn to develop positive internal conversation: talk to yourself, forgive yourself, respect yourself, validate yourself, because to give something good to others you must first offer kindness and affection to yourself.

Remember, that we cannot control the change of life, this is constant and will always bring with it decisive moments and many internal and external challenges. Your greatest responsibility is to take care of yourself, this is part of your mental health.
