Jenifer Jirau, MHC Intern is a student of Mental Health Counseling at Webster University in Orlando, Florida.  She has a B.A. in Criminal Investigation from Interamerican University in Cupey, Puerto Rico, where she graduated with honors. Jenifer is a member of the American Counseling Association. She is committed to be a catalyst for positive change and to help others improve their lives through education, insight, and acceptance. She would like to specialize in dance therapy and minority groups. Jenifer loves music, dance, books, writing and learning about other cultures. She has had the experience to work (practicum) as a psychosocial rehabilitation therapist in the city of Kissimmee and will like to continue learning and improving her experience to better serve the community.  As a mental health counseling intern, she is expecting to integrate her knowledge on mental health issues and cultural diversity to help people overcome personal issues, and live a meaningful life.  

Sasha Morales, MSW Intern was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida with her parents at 10 years old. She is currently in the Master’s of Social Work program at the University of Central Florida and is completing her clinical internship with Hispanic Family Counseling, Inc. Sasha obtained her Bachelor’s of Social Work in 2015 and pursued a career in the child welfare field. Sasha currently works for Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services as a Dependency Case Manager. Her areas of interests include child welfare, working with the family system as a whole, and working with at-risk populations, specifically at-risk youth. In her spare time, Sasha enjoys spending time with her fiancé and step-son and also working on her photography. Sasha speaks fluent English and some Spanish. 

Vanessa Mojica, MSW Intern was born in Germany and moved to the United States when she was 2 years old. Her parents are from Colombia and Puerto Rico. She obtained her bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminology from the University of South Florida. She is currently at the University of Central Florida trying to obtain her Masters in Clinical Social Work. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends.

Amanda Colon, MSW Intern was born in Miami, Florida. She moved to Orlando to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Psychology in May of 2017 at the University of Central Florida. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work, with the goal of entering the field of School Social Work after graduation. In her free time, Amanda enjoys seeing movies, spending time with her friends, and reading.

Carolina Pettus, HSA Intern is of Colombian descent and was raised in Miami, Florida. She is an Administrative Intern and is eager to obtain as much experience as possible here at HispaFam. Carolina is currently working on her Bachelors in Healthcare Administration at the University of Central Florida. After she completes her Bachelors, she wants to further her education and receive a Masters in Healthcare Administration. 

Priscila Manzanet, MSW Intern graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2012 and is continuing in the same university to pursue a Masters degree in Social Work. Her goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and she is interested in working in the field of mental health. Priscila also enjoys yoga, pizza, and watching movies.
